Join us for a special Women’s History Month screening of Amazing Grace, the iconic documentary capturing Aretha Franklin at the height of her power. Filmed over two unforgettable nights in January 1972, the film presents Franklin performing with a full choir at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Watts, Los Angeles. 

Amazing Grace documents the recording of Franklin’s legendary gospel album of the same name, showcasing her extraordinary voice, spiritual depth, and commanding presence. Set within the warmth and intensity of a church service, the film offers an intimate portrait of an artist whose influence shaped music, culture, and the history of Black women in America. 

This screening celebrates Aretha Franklin’s enduring legacy as a trailblazing woman, cultural icon, and the undisputed Queen of Soul.
